Aloha Everyone!
I just wanted to give you all an update on what I've been up to. I've been working a lot on new pieces and applying to juried art shows! I am supposed to hear back from at least one of the shows I've applied for so far within the next two weeks! I'm really excited about the possibility of showing my work in galleries again. I loved showing at the University of Hawai'i's Commons gallery while I was attending college. It's always such an experience to see your work up on a wall or on a sculpture stand with proper lighting on it's own. In those spaces I feel like everyone is experiencing part of my personality, parts that I may not even realize I have, mixed with the unique personality the piece. All of that mixed with how the viewer sees and responds to my work. Sometimes I wish I could see people's imaginations at work at an art show. I think it would be fascinating to see how different everyone views art.
