mini-SOFA show on O'ahu!

Aloha Everyone!

I am very excited to tell you that one of my mitsuro rings was accepted into the mini-SOFA (Small Objects and Functional Art) show and sale in Honolulu, HI! I am also very exited that my piece was one of the chosen pieces to be featured in the invitation! I am extending the invitation to the show and opening to you all! Sadly, I will not be able to make it to the opening of the show. However, if you happen to be on O'ahu I would love for you all to go see the excellent art that will be there!

The Fine Art Associates will be showcasing unique and one-of-a-kind contemporary decorative arts and design in a first-ever mini-SOFA (Small Objects and Functional Art) show and sale. Mini-SOFA brings together small, one-of-a-kind works in contemporary art and design from a selection of established and new and emerging artists. We look forward to you joining us for the opening and/or visit sometime during weekend public hours.

Public hours for the exhibit are November 11, 12, 13 from 12pm – 4pm at The Fine Art Associates showroom. The Fine Art Associates showroom is located at 1020 Auahi Street, in the Ward Industrial Plaza behind Marukai Farmer’s Market – Building #4. Mini-SOFA takes its inspiration from the world-renowned SOFA Art Fairs held in major American art centers like New York, Chicago, and Santa Fe. The objective of the exhibition is to showcase the diversity of inspiring art and artists working today in Hawaii expressed through small works – no larger than 12” x 12” x 12”.

Lauren C. Faulkner, Owner and Art Consultant for The Fine Art Associates says, “We have no shortage of world-class artistic talent in Hawaii. Mini-SOFA is an opportunity for us to share more affordable contemporary art and design, finely crafted, sometimes whimsical, and often inspiring work by artists of Hawaii – AND, introduce this work to more of the community in a fun and accessible way.”
