I eat, I paint, and I try not to eat my paints.

My Name is Heather Scott. I eat, I paint, and I try not to eat my paints.

I'm feeling much better since my last post. Thanks for asking. So well, actually, that not only was I up till 3am this morning working on a painting but I also baked the most amazing apple pie I've ever eaten in my LIFE.

That flower painting I'm working on is coming along. Layer by layer. It's an oil painting so it's a slow process of layers and letting it dry. Here's another couple of photos of it's progress and a photo showing me actually painting:

I got a bag of green apples and decided that apple pie was the best idea for them. I found a recipe online and tried my hand at making home made apple pie. I have to admit that there have been other failed attempts in apple pie making. There are many ways to go wrong with it, wrong apples, mushy crust, etc. This time though Apple Pie Crust Amazingness was produced. Unfortunately, there aren't any photos of it because, well, it was just too good to take photos of it before it was devoured. I found that the secret to crispy crust. 2tbsp of milk brushed on top of the pie with 2tbsp of sugar and 1tsp cinnamon mixed together and sprinkled on top of the milk that was just brushed on. Then baking at 425 for 10 mins and then 325 for an hour. Perfect pie crust.

Mahalo for reading!
